What is an FX Server Key?
An FX Server Key is a mandatory license key required to run any FiveM server. This key:
- Authenticates your server with FiveM's network
- Links your server to your FiveM account
- Enables server listing in the FiveM server browser
- Provides access to FiveM's server features
- Is completely free for legitimate server hosting
Step 1: Access FiveM Keymaster
1. Open your web browser
2. Navigate to the official FiveM Keymaster:

Step 2: Log In to Your Account
If You Have a FiveM Account:
1. Click "Log In" on the Keymaster page
2. Enter your FiveM forum credentials:
- Username or Email
- Password
3. Complete any two-factor authentication if enabled
4. Proceed to the Keymaster dashboard
If You Don't Have a FiveM Account:
1. Click "Register" or visit `https://forum.cfx.re/`
2. Create a new account with:
- Valid email address
- Secure password
- Unique username
3. Verify your email through the confirmation link
4. Return to Keymaster and log in
Step 3: Register a New Server Key
1. Click "Register a new key" button
2. You'll see a registration form with several fields
Required Information:
Server Label:
Purpose: Helps you identify this key among multiple servers
Examples:
- "My Development Server"
- "Community RP Server"
- "Test Server - Main"
- "Production Roleplay Server"
Best Practice: Use descriptive names for easy identification
IP Address:
- Critical Requirement: Enter your server's public IP address
- Where to Find Your IP:
- Check your hosting provider's control panel
- Look for "Server Information" or "Connection Details"
- Contact your hosting provider if unsure
- Format: `192.168.1.100` or `203.0.113.1`
- Important: This must be the exact IP where your server will run
Step 4: Generate Your Key
1. Review all entered information for accuracy
2. Read and accept the FiveM Terms of Service
3. Click "Generate" to create your key
4. Your FX Server Key will be displayed - it looks like:
cfxk_1234567890abcdef1234567890abcdef12345678
5. Copy the key immediately and store it securely
Important: Save this key in a secure location. You'll need it to configure your server.
Part 2: Configuring Your Server Key
Method 1: qonzer Control Panel
Step 1: Access qonzer
1. Log in to your qonzer panel
2. Navigate to your FiveM server from the server list
Step 2: Configure Server Settings
1. Go to the "File Manager" tab
2. Look for "server.cfg"
3. Find the license key field (may be labeled as):
- `sv_licenseKey`
Step 3: Input Your Key
1. Paste your FX Server Key into the license field
2. Ensure there are no extra spaces before or after the key
3. Save the configuration changes
4. Start your server to apply the new settings
